Leave A Legacy
Remembering The Gardens In Your Will
Share your love of plants and nature and help to secure the future of this unique historic botanical garden, please consider making a gift or bequeathing a legacy to the Gardens in your will. Leaving a gift to Birmingham Botanical Gardens in your Will, even if just a small percentage of your estate, can help create a living legacy and help us all ensure the Gardens can be preserved for future generations.
Established in 1829, we are a charity and receive no regular public funding, but rely on gifts, grants, and donations to help us continue to care for the Gardens, which is a privilege and a major responsibility. By leaving a percentage of your estate as a gift in your Will, you can help us to support the costs of running the educational charity, care for the historically and botanically significant plant collection, support new developments such as the restoration of the historic bandstand and glasshouses, and save the Gardens for future generations, in perpetuity.
Donations
As a charity, The Birmingham Botanical Gardens receives no regular public funding. Instead, we rely solely on the generosity of public donations, grants, and income we generate from visitors and through conferences, weddings, and other events.
Unique Heritage
Thanks to the generosity of individuals, we can continue to preserve Birmingham’s unique heritage site and Gardens for future generations, as well as making a vital contribution to plant diversity and a greener, more sustainable planet.
Making A Legacy
By making a legacy, you can help us to deliver horticultural, educational, scientific, heritage, social and cultural excellence, to maintain and improve The Birmingham Botanical Gardens for current and future generations.

Your Gift
How Your Gift Will Help
Birmingham Botanical Gardens is dedicated to helping people connect with plants for the benefit of life on earth. This means caring for our living collection of 12,000 plant species, some rare and endangered in the wild, and providing opportunities for people to visit, learn, engage, and explore, as they have done for almost 200 years. BBG means so much to so many people, whether for learning, leisure, wellbeing, inspiration, or simply the joy of being outdoors in the Gardens. We encourage and engage visitors to discover the power and properties of plants and nature, and to create a sustainable future.
