This year the Gardens entered into a special partnership with Birmingham City University (BCU), fostering innovative opportunities for learning and research. In the video below, you can get a sneak peak into the inner workings of how this partnership has been running, and the impact it has had on the students and their work. Dr Martin Goldberg and Biomedical Science students Barbara, Mansi and Makanaka talk through how in the study of plants growing in the Gardens greatly helped with their studies into plants such as Liquorice, making new avenues of study possible.

We are proud to be part of such an incredible collaboration, one that is able to contribute to improving sustainability for medical research and therapeutics. The partnership extends beyond just the biomedical sciences, with staff and student alike able to take advantage of this connection. We look forward to sharing more of the partnership to follow.
