Corporate Volunteering

Are you part of a group or business?

Would you like to spend a day with your colleagues out of the office, getting your hands dirty?

Perhaps our corporate volunteering days could be for you?

We have a variety of manual tasks around the gardens that need to happen throughout the year to keep our visitors happy. These tasks provide a great opportunity for work colleagues to come together as a team and create a practical project in beautiful surroundings – very different to a normal day at the office! Recent groups include Npower, KPMG and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Strengthen Team Bonds: Your staff will work together in a unique environment outside of the office. Working together on meaningful projects helps build trust, camaraderie, collaboration, and stronger, more cooperative teams.

Environmental Stewardship: By supporting the Gardens through volunteering or sponsorship, organisations demonstrate their commitment to environmental conservation and protection, and CSR related goals. The Gardens serve as a living example of biodiversity preservation and is an important natural resource for Birmingham.

Community Engagement: Volunteering at the Gardens offers opportunities for individuals to connect and give back to the local community in meaningful ways, fostering stronger bonds and enhancing social cohesion.

Wellness & Wellbeing: Access to green spaces has been linked to improved mental and physical well-being. Supporting the Gardens champions initiatives that promote public health, wellness, and quality of life for individuals and communities, reinforcing their commitment to employee well-being and social responsibility.

Education and Outreach: The Gardens’ educational programme is a vital resource that promotes environmental awareness, botanical science, and horticultural practices. By supporting these initiatives, organisations can contribute to educational outreach and research efforts, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing within the community.

Cultural Preservation: The Gardens play a significant role in preserving cultural heritage and historical landmarks, such as the Grade II* listed landscape. By supporting the maintenance and preservation of these cultural assets, organisations contribute to the enrichment and conservation of local heritage and cultural identity.
