Update 06/06/2024:
The Gardens will be closing early at 4pm on Saturday, 15 June to support the Birmingham Hospice’s Memory Walk, which will take place within our grounds.
This special event begins and finishes at the Botanical Gardens, and invites people from Birmingham and the surrounding area to walk 2.5km or 10km in memory of someone special. Participants will help raise vital funds for Birmingham Hospice, which provides essential care and support for around 1,000 local people living with life-limiting illnesses.
We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and support for this important cause. By hosting this event, we join hundreds of supporters in helping ensure that more families can be together during their most difficult times.

Update 20/05/2024:
Between the 25th May – 2nd June please note the Gardens will be transformed into the Jurassic Gardens!
You can come and enjoy the Gardens as normal or enjoy the Jurassic Gardens event. Please note there is a slight price uplift during this time.
The butterfly house will also open on the 25th May – September and entry is included with general admission ticket or FREE for members.
Update 26/02/2024:
Please note that due to on-site maintenance, the Gardens will be closed on the 27th of February, 2024, and will reopen on the 28th of February, 2024. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you.
Update 07/02/2024:
The Koi Carp fish had their final splash in the Tropical Glasshouse pond yesterday before their exciting move to their new bespoke, heated pond near our playground! You can read more about this by clicking here.
Please note that the pond in the Tropical Glasshouse is currently under going cleaning and maintenance, ready for the installation of the giant water lily!

It’s a very blustery day! Due to the very high winds, the outside areas of the Gardens and the Glasshouses are closed for visitor and staff safety. The Gift and Plant shop, and Café, will remain open and are free of charge* to visit today! So why not come along and pick up some lovely festive gifts and a hot chocolate! *Parking charges still apply.
Good news, our Café is now serving a full menu again, including hot and cold food and drinks, and festive treats.

We are pleased to confirm the Gardens have reopened and normal business hours will resume from Saturday 9th December.

This evening’s Luminate Winter Lights will go ahead as planned.
