In this part of the Gardens, visitors can be transported back to gardens from the past, and perhaps imagine themselves as a Roman Senator or an Elizabethan courtier. A few small steps further and they are once again in the twentieth century, strolling past herbaceous borders or though a grove of pines and cedars.
